Whether you run your business efficiently or have a career that you love and are thriving at, there can sometimes be that feeling of just wanting more. More money for things you want in life, or not feeling the pinch so much when it comes to spending once all the bills are paid.
So how can you do that?
Side hustles are a great way to make extra money and many can be done alongside your other commitments when it comes to work. I thought I would share with you some of the ways you could do it.
Making money from a hobby or something you love
Sometimes you just have to go with the things that you love. Many of us have hobbies that we enjoy doing and perhaps you are starting to realize that some of them could be monetized and made into something more.
Maybe you are a food lover and create the most amazing sauces, looking into designing something like hot sauce labels and then selling them on could be a great way to create a little business doing what you love from home. It could also be monetizing a blog you have or even becoming a freelancer.
Filling out online surveys
Maybe you want to do something that is easy to do while you are relaxing and filling out online surveys could be that. You can head to some of the popular websites found online and simply do it while watching tv or relaxing in an evening. The small amounts per survey will soon add up.
Testing out websites
Many companies need their websites testing, which is called user testing. They need to know how they perform and also take on board any critique and feedback they can acquire. This is where you come in. You can test out these websites very easily and earn a little extra in your spare time.
Taking on mystery shops
Mystery shopping is another side hustle people like to do. Not only does it give you a fee for taking on the work, but in many cases you can get free meals, tickets or money towards purchases, which in turn can then give you a saving. There are plenty of websites that will allow you to register to become a mystery shopper and then it is just a case of taking on the jobs that are suitable. (Do your research before you register to become a mystery shopper to make sure it’s legit!)
Selling items online
Finally, your home is probably filled with things you no longer love, want or need, so why keep them? Seeking items online on platforms like eBay is a great way to rid your home of the clutter while enabling you to earn a little extra in the process.
Some people even take it one step further and convert their eBay account to business and actually source items to sell from charity shops. This then enables them to sell them on eBay for a profit.
Selling a service
Finally, you can make extra money by selling a service, something you do in your career that you could also do on the side.
A great place to start the idea generation process is with taking an inventory of your existing skills that you actually enjoy doing. If you love to write, you could write online for various publications. For instance, if you’re amazing at proofreading other people’s work, but hate doing it, you can leave proofreading off the list.
