What’s going on everyone? If you are a father, then today’s post is specifically for you. If you need extra money, you are in the right place. Today, I want to go over five side hustles for dads. If you are a dad and you never seem to have enough money continue reading.
The first side hustle on the list is to help people move furniture. Depending on the type of furniture that people have, but could be very heavy. I recently got a new wooden desk for my home office. It was so heavy that I had to ask my neighbor and his friend to help me get in into my apartment. Consider how many other people out there that have been in my situation. If you have a truck or an SUV, you can use the vehicle to help you move people’s furniture. You can advertise your services via word of mouth or on Craigslist. This side hustle can be done after work or the weekends. You can pretty much create your own schedule.
The next side hustle out there is to help people with their yard work. A lot of people hate doing yard work. Whether it’s cutting the grass or trimming hedges, some folks don’t like doing it at all. Others may be too old or have conditions that won’t allow them to do it. If you’re a dad that has a lawn mower and some hedge trimmers, then this is a side hustle that is right up your alley.
Side hustle number three on the list is to become a part-time mechanic. If you know how to fix vehicles, you could make a lot of money doing this for people. Everyone needs a good mechanic from time to time. People don’t want to always take their car to the mechanic shop and pay thousands of dollars to get something fixed. Having someone that people can trust to fix their car would save them so much money. As a part-time mechanic, you can charge whatever price you want and work whenever you choose to. Make sure that you don’t try to get too many clients. You don’t want to become overwhelmed. I have a friend who’s a mechanic and he often over schedules himself. He loses money in the process because he just can’t get to everyone.
If you’re a dad that likes to make sure sports games run correctly, then you should consider becoming a referee. With sports like basketball, football, baseball and soccer, you can do this particular side hustle year round. Referring is easy for the most part. You may have to deal with angry parents every once in a while if you ref your sports. You may also have to ignore an angry player once or twice if you work for an adult league. The money is worth it, though. You can start out making at least $20 per game.
Coach Youth Sports
Since I’m on the sports topic, I figured that I’d finish this list with this side hustle. Coaching youth sports can not only be a good opportunity to help young men and women, but you can make a little money while you’re doing it. Make sure you have patience if you decide to do this hustle. Every kid isn’t the best at sports so work with them.
If you’re a dad that needs a side hustle, start off with one of these five ideas. If you find one of them that you like, get off the couch and start bringing in that extra money.
