Having a side hustle can do wonders for your income. That extra money can change your life. I’ve known people who’ve done things like pay off debt or take their families on long-awaited vacations with the side money that they have made.
If you’ve never thought about side hustling before, you may be completely lost. You might not know how to start or where to begin. It may seem like a daunting task, but it’s not. You just have to figure out what you want to do.
Today, I want to share with you a few tips that what help you find the side hustle for you. These actions are things that anyone can do.
What Do You Like to Do?
The first thing that you need to do is figure out what things you like to do in the first place. Do you like talking with and helping people? Do you enjoy physical labor? Do you have a problem sitting and looking at a computer screen for an extended time?
There are so many side hustles out there for you to choose from. You just have to figure out a few that interest you and jot them down. You should start off by listing five different things. Let’s continue to the next step.
What Skills Do You Have?
The next item on the list is to figure out the skills that you have. Take a look at the list of side hustles that you wrote down. If you have the skills that it takes to do them, keep them on the list.
You might not need many skills for every type of side hustle, but you will for some. An example of that would be if your side hustle consisted of creating a website for people, you would need to know a little bit about WordPress, Blogger, or HTML. Another example is if you wanted to make flyers of business cards for people, you’d need to have a little bit of Photoshop or design skills.
Once you figured out if your skill coincides with your potential side hustles, we will move on to the next step.

How Hard Are You Willing to Work?
This is a question that you have to ask yourself. Are you trying to make a couple of hundred dollars per month or a couple hundred each week? That amount will depend on how much work you are willing to put into your side hustle. Your time is very precious. The amount that you are able to dedicate to it each day is important. If you have a full-time, 9-5 job, you won’t have as much time as somebody who has a part-time job. I have a full-time job and a few side hustles. I put in about 20-25 hours a week working on them. To me, it’s worth it. You may want just to work 10 hours a week on your side hustles. That is perfectly fine, too. Just remember, your income probably might not be as high if you worked more hours depending on the side hustle you choose.
Choose One Idea and Go!
We went over what you like to do, the skills that you have, and how hard you’re willing to work. Now, it’s time for you to pick one side hustle and go. Hopefully, you have a couple of side hustles on your list that can be some decent money makers. Decide which one works the best for you and start working on it. The sooner that you start your side hustle, the sooner that you will be able to make some money. Advertise your side hustle online. Tell your friends and family about it. Doing that will help you get support.
Finding the right side hustle may take a little bit of time, but it will be worth it in the long run. Following these tips should help you make a good decision. If your first hustle doesn’t go well, try one of the other ones on your list. You will have a breakthrough sooner or later.
