There are several ways that a beginner can make online money. One way that a beginner can make it is on eBay. It’s pretty easy for anyone to get started with. Today, I will be going over how beginners can make money online with eBay.
EBay is one of the largest online marketplaces in the world. You can sell almost anything on there. The first thing that you need to do is create an account. This is very easy. You can do this on their homepage. It takes less than five minutes to do this.
After you create your account, you need to figure out what you want to sell. Some things that you can sell are clothes, jewelry, sports items, and shoes. Two of the items that I sell the most are sports jerseys and old Nike Air Jordan shoes. People love their Jordan’s. They will go to any length to find them. I’ve sold shoes to people all over the country. The crazy thing is that I don’t even clean the shoes that much. I sell them as is. I let the sellers know that they can be projects for shoe collectors to restore. They buy them with no hesitation.
When you’re posting items on eBay, you will need to make sure you have a decent phone or camera to take pictures. People will be bidding on your items because of the picture and the description. You want to make sure that you take great pictures. They will determine how much you make on your items. If your photos are grainy or distorted, you won’t make as much money as you would if they were clear and distinct. If you can’t afford to buy a decent camera, there are tools like Canva and Picmonkey where you can touch up your photos. You can also do things such as brighten and focus them up.
Writing Item Descriptions
The next thing that you need to do is to write a good description for your items. The better that you describe your items, the sooner that they will sell. For instance, imagine that you are selling a used Dallas Cowboys bobblehead. A good description would go like this. “You are looking at a used Dallas Cowboys bobblehead. The bobblehead doesn’t come in its original packaging. There aren’t visible scratches or damage on it. This bobblehead is in very good condition. If you are a fan of America’s Team (The Cowboys nickname), you should look at the item today.” That description describes the piece in great detail. The potential buyers will know what they are buying.
Pricing & Promoting Items
Once you finish the description, it’s time for you to set a price and then promote your item. You can list your item at whatever price you want to it at. You want to make sure that you don’t list it too high. There is nothing worse than having items sit for months because you have overvalued them. Once you have a price that you think is good, it’s time to start promoting the things. I promote my items a few different ways. I have a Pinterest board where I post my eBay auctions a couple of times each week. I also post them in a couple of eBay groups that I’m in on Facebook. Your items will sell quicker if more people see them. Make sure that you promote, promote and promote again.
The final thing that you should do is make sure that you create a PayPal account. PayPal is an online company that processes online payments. It’s the easiest way for you to get your money once your items sell. You can easily transfer the money to your bank account. PayPal is free and very easy to set up.
It’s very easy to make money online even if you are a beginner. eBay is just one of the many ways that you can do that. In the upcoming months, I will share with you some more options on how to make money online.
